Sarah--the books are good, I think you'll be disappointed at the ending is all. Gone is the one where all of the adults disappear. My students are hot for this series, too, but I haven't read it. I can only handle so much science fiction and then I need a good historical fiction novel to make everything right. :)

I agree with your analysis of The Maze Runner & The Scorch Trials-- I read them both with high hopes of some sort of resolution.....just put The Death Cure on my list, so I'll let you know when I finish it! :-)
Here's to YA dystopian literature-- (oh-- have you read Scott Westerfeld's 'The Uglies' series? Basic premise is that everyone in that society is turned 'pretty' by plastic surgery when they turn 18)

What a great trip. I also visited this amazing place a few years ago with my daughter and a friend as part of our self-made tour of the Pride & Prejudice film. I loved Lyme Park! It made the Pride & Prejudice experience so much more real!

How have you not read this before now? It's my favorite book (well, now it's tied with A Room with a View, but it held the title solo for years). Sorry about the librarian thing, though. That must be maddening, kind of like that SAHMs sit around and do nothing all day and/or lead horribly unfulfilling lives.

I'm so glad you enjoy The Grand Sophy. It is one of Heyer's most popular works. Sophy is just such and inspiring character. I really appreciate her outgoing personality and outrageous stunts. One of my favorite Heyer novels too.
